How to get to Massinga Beach Lodge

Discover Massinga Beach on a pristine stretch of coast just north of Inhambane in southern Mozambique. Private beaches and sunsets over this section of Mozambique coastline make for an ideal holiday setting.

Historic Inhambane

Inhambane is 469 km north of Maputo, and the capital of the Inhambane Province. It is an historical town, known for its colonial architecture, much of which is still in good repair. The town is one of the oldest settlements on the East Coast of Mozambique. Arab dhows traded slaves and pearls there as early as the 11th century!

Getting to the Lodge

Fly directly from O.R.Tambo Airport in Johannesburg to Inhambane and take a transfer to Massinga Beach. Or drive your own vehicle from South Africa or Maputo to Inhambane. Remember that the last stretch from Maxixe to the lodge is accessible with a 4x4 only. Prior arrangement with Massinga Beach Lodge can ensure that two-wheel drive vehicles are left at the safe 4 x 4 parking space. From here, guests are then transferred to the lodge in a four-wheel drive.
